Iran dismisses reports of bomb scare at Ankara embassy

ISTANBUL 

An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has denied reports that Iran’s embassy in Turkish capital Ankara had been evacuated earlier Monday due to a bomb scare.

Speaking to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi denied the reports, saying that no embassy staff had been evacuated.

Earlier Monday, certain news outlets had reported that the embassy had been temporarily evacuated following a false bomb alert.
