ISTANBUL
Explosions were heard in Iran early Monday as tensions continued to escalate amid US-Israeli attacks.
Blasts were heard in the capital Tehran and the city of Karaj, Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency reported on Telegram.
Hostilities have escalated since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing around 1,300 people so far, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
