Bahrain's air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 244 drones and 143 missiles since the start of Iranian attacks on its territory, the Bahraini army said Saturday.
A statement came as hostilities in the region have escalated since Israel and the US launched joint attacks against Iran on Feb. 28, so far killing more than 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Ira, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
