Bahrain and Pakistan will hold a joint military drill to combat terrorism, according to the official BNA news agency.

A memorandum of understanding was signed on Wednesday between Bahrain’s National Guard and the Pakistani army to carry out the Badr 3 exercise.

"The application of this exercise in its third edition is an extension of the first and second version of the joint exercise Badr 1 and Badr 2, which was carried out in Pakistan," Major Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahraini Special Operations, said.

No further details were available about the date of the military drill.

Badr 1 and Badr 2 exercises had been held in Pakistan in 2015 and 2017.
