The Arab League has called the U.S. State Department move of deleting any reference to Palestine on its website as "a new hostile action".

The Arab League in its statement issued on Tuesday added that "this move comes within a series of hostile actions by the U.S. administration which aims at liquidating the Palestinian cause."

The statement also stressed that the Arab League will raise this issue on all international forums.

The Palestinian Foreign Affairs Ministry responded to the U.S. move saying that the removal of any reference to Palestine doesn't cancel the existence of Palestine on the lands occupied in 1967.
