9 killed, 14 injured in Syria car bomb attack

AZAZ, Syria

At least nine people were killed and 14 injured Wednesday in a car bomb attack in Syria's northern city of Azaz, according to sources.

The car exploded at a road checkpoint controlled by opposition forces. Those injured were transported to Azaz Hospital as security measures were intensified in the surrounding area.

Security forces have initiated an investigation into the attack but no group has yet claimed responsibility.
