9,000 targets struck in 10 days during US-Israeli attacks on Iran: Tehran mayor

ISTANBUL

US and Israeli forces struck 9,000 targets during the first 10 days of the war on Iran, Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani said Thursday according to Iranian state television.

Zakani noted that during the 12-day war in June 2025, a total of 1,450 targets were hit.

He added that large-scale debris removal operations are underway in the city.

Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28. Iranian authorities reported the strikes have so far killed more than 1,200 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and injured over 10,000 others.

Israel and the US previously carried out strikes against Iran in June last year during a round of negotiations between the US and Iran mediated by Oman
