ABU DHABI

Two people were killed on Sunday when a light aircraft crashed into the sea in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The crash took place off the coast of Ras al-Khaimah emirate, killing its pilot and co-pilot, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said in a statement cited by the state news agency WAM.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash.
