15-year-old Palestinian succumbs to gunshot injuries
Odai Abu Khalil was shot by Israeli soldiers last week near occupied West Bank city of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Palestine
A Palestinian child on Wednesday succumbed to injuries he sustained last week in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
“Odai Abu Khalil, 15, was shot and injured by Israeli soldiers last Friday near the Beit El settlement north of Ramallah,” the ministry said in a statement.
“He succumbed to his wounds at the hospital today,” the statement added.
Tension has mounted in the Palestinian territories since last December, when U.S. President Donald Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
On May 14, at least 65 Palestinian protesters in the eastern Gaza Strip were martyred -- and thousands more injured -- by Israeli army gunfire.
