Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gains 33 points

ANKARA
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 5.462.18,41 points on Thursday, up 0.61%, or 33.05 points, from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.19% to close at 5,429.13 points, with a daily trading volume of 124 billion Turkish liras ($6.64 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.6671 as of 9.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.8656, and a British pound traded for 22.6188 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $82.31 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,823.30.
