ANKARA

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 10,125.46 points, rising 0.66% from the previous day.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 66.83 points with a daily trading volume of 83.2 billion liras ($2.83 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index gained 4.44% at Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,677.89, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.92 per barrel as of 6.11 p.m. local time (1511GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.9483, the euro/lira at 36.6842, while a British pound traded for 44.1363 liras.
