Turkish stock index opens slightly higher
BIST 100 starts week with minor gains, exchange rates and commodities stable

ISTANBUL
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened with a marginal rise of 0.05% on Monday, gaining 4.7 points to reach 8,798.31.
The index on Friday closed with a 2.32% loss, ending at 8,793.61 points with a daily trading volume of 74 billion Turkish liras ($2.16 billion).
As of 10.15 am local time (0715GMT), the Turkish lira traded at 34.2610 against the US dollar, 37.2185 against the euro, and 44.6340 against the British pound.
In commodities, gold per ounce was priced at $2,731.40, while Brent crude oil hovered around $73.30 per barrel.
