Turkish stock exchange begins Tuesday up
BIST 100 index gains around 24.5 points at Tuesday's open

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9.972,96 points, up 0.25% or 24.45 points from the previous close.
On Monday, the BIST 100 rose 5.78% – its largest daily gain in two years – to 9.948,51 points, with a daily transaction volume of 165 billion Turkish liras ($4.15 billion).
As of 10.25 am local time (0725GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.8540 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 46.9980 to the euro, and 54.8685 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,336.20, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.70 per barrel.
