Saudi defense minister discusses Iranian attacks with Pakistan’s army chief

ISTANBUL 

The Saudi minister of defense, Khalid bin Salman, said Fridat that he met Asim Munir, chief of the army staff of Pakistan, to discuss regional security developments, including Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom.

“The meeting addressed the Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia within the framework of the strategic defense cooperation agreement between the two countries,” bin Salman wrote on US social media company X.

He said they also sought “ways to halt these attacks and strengthen defense cooperation between Riyadh and Islamabad.”

“Both sides discussed the importance of coordination to confront security challenges and preserve regional stability amid the ongoing military escalation,” he added.
