European stock exchanges closed mixed on Wednesday.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up just 0.04 point, or 0.01%, to finish the day flat at 485.67.
The UK’s FTSE 100 declined 35 points, or 0.47%, to end the session at 7,630. France’s CAC 40 lost 20 points, or 0.27%, to 7,656.
Germany’s DAX 30 decreased 68 points, or 0.4%, to finish at 16,903.
Italy’s FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, rising almost 121 points, or 0.4%, to 30,744.
Spain’s IBEX 35 increased 38 points, or 0.38%, to close at 10,077.
