European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen affirmed Monday following an emergency summit in Paris that Europe is fully committed to supporting Ukraine with military aid.
“Europe carries its full share of the military assistance to Ukraine,” she said.
Ukraine deserves peace through strength, “respectful of its independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, with strong security guarantees,” von der Leyen added.
The EU Commission chief also reiterated the need to strengthen the bloc’s defense capabilities.
