EuroLeague: Fenerbahce Beko still in nightmare

ANKARA

Turkish basketball club Fenerbahce Beko are currently experiencing a turbulent season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as Zalgiris Kaunas beat them 79-76 in Istanbul late Friday.

The Turkish team were on course to win the Friday's match, but a 10-0 run by Zalgiris Kaunas in the last 1:46 minutes were too much for the Istanbul club.

Fenerbahce Beko upset their fans following a shocking home loss over Lithuanian side Zalgiris Kaunas as the Istanbul club suffered five losses in six EuroLeague matches this season.

Meanwhile the Turkish club's losing streak in this competition extended to three games.

After the win over KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz on Oct. 17, Fenerbahce lost to AX Armani Exchange Milan, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and Zalgiris Kaunas respectively.

The Lithuanian guard of Zalgiris, Marius Grigonis was picked as the player of the game, scoring 19 points.

Zalgiris' American forward Zach LeDay produced 16 points for his team.

Fenerbahce Beko's French star Nando De Colo's individual performance -- 29 points -- couldn't avoid the home loss.

The Turkish team's Greek point guard Kostas Sloukas tallied 13 points and nine assists.

Zenit St. Petersburg - CSKA Moscow: 70-87

Fenerbahce Beko - Zalgiris Kaunas: 76-79
