- Three foreign mercenaries -- two British nationals and a Moroccan -- said to have fought for Ukraine in the Russia-Ukraine war were sentenced to death by a court in the self-proclaimed independent enclave of Donetsk.
- An official of India's ruling party has been named by police in a case for inciting people after her insulting remarks against Prophet Muhammad spurred a string of condemnations from the oil-rich Gulf states and other Muslim-majority nations.
- Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett arrived in the United Arab Emirates’ capital Abu Dhabi to meet with the country's President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
- At least three people were killed after a gunman opened fire at a manufacturing facility in the US state of Maryland.
- Near northern Syria, a region where the YPG/PKK terror group has large areas of control and oppresses local populations, the group kidnapped two brothers this week aged 9 and 10 to join its armed ranks.
