Online Turkish winter survival game due to hit Steam
Survival game set in Erzurum, Turkey pits players against harsh winter conditions, savage nature, hunger, and thirst

ANKARA
An open-world survival game developed by Turkey's Proximity Games is set to hit popular gaming platform Steam after the New Year.
The game Erzurum, named after an eastern Turkish province where temperatures plunge below -35 C (-31 F) each winter, challenges players to battle freezing temperatures, savage nature, hunger, and thirst, according to Proximity.
Taylan, the game’s main character, finds himself traveling through desolate regions in a fight to survive; the region was also affected by a meteor strike, multiplying the challenges he must face.
The game features dynamic weather, temperature, and time, which increases the game's realistic environment, along with sudden random changes in weather to snowfall, storms, and enemy-obscuring fog.
The game is due to hit Steam on Jan. 20.
