French actor Gaspard Ulliel dies at age 37
Death caused by injuries from skiing accident, family says
French actor Gaspard Ulliel died on Wednesday at the age of 37, local media reported.
The France 24 television news outlet referred to a statement by his family that said his death was caused by injuries suffered in a skiing accident.
One of the best-known French actors of his generation, Ulliel gained international attention for his performance as the famous cannibal in Hannibal Rising, according to France 24.
Ulliel won a Cesar award, the French equivalent of an Oscar, in the best actor category in 2017, for his performance in Xavier Dolan's It's Only the End of the World, where he starred alongside Marion Cotillard and Lea Seydoux.
