SUEZ, Egypt
At least 21 people were killed on Tuesday in a road accident in the northeastern Egyptian province of Suez, security and medical sources said.
A passenger bus en route to South Sinai rammed into a truck parked on the side of the road, killing 21 people and injuring 25 others, they added.
Deadly car accidents are common in Egypt due to poor road conditions and lax traffic law enforcement.
According to official figures, Egypt has the highest road accident causalities in the Middle East, with an average of 19.5 deaths a day.
