2020 Emmys: Schitt's Creek sweeps comedy categories
Canadian sitcom nabs 7 categories in which it was nominated, including best comedy series
WASHINGTON
Canadian TV sitcom Schitt's Creek won the 2020 Emmy Award for “Outstanding Comedy Series,” making it an unprecedented seven trophies in a row.
A virtual ceremony of the 72nd Emmy Awards, the Oscars of television, was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Jeremy Strong won for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” for his performance as Kendall Roy in ‘Succession.’
"Watchmen" won the "Outstanding Limited Series" award.
