Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey’s manufacturing and export sectors have grown despite unfavorable conditions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Turkey has administered more than 104 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since launching a mass immunization campaign in January, with more than 52.3 million people receiving their first vaccine dose and over 41.4 million fully vaccinated.

Joint military exercises between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan continued in the Azerbaijani capital Baku.

Turkish security forces "neutralized" at least eight terrorists associated with the YPG, the Syrian branch of the PKK, in the northern region of Syria.

The Coast Guard Command in Turkey’s Aydin province rescued 19 asylum seekers following their push-back by Greek elements into Turkish territorial waters.

Two people with suspected links to the Daesh/ISIS terrorist group were arrested in Turkey’s Trabzon province.

Afghanistan’s acting interior minister met with the head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and the UN secretary-general’s special representative for security to discuss a number of issues, including the delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-torn country.

The military junta that toppled the government in Guinea on Sept. 5 met with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and non-governmental organizations as part of efforts to establish a transitional government.

At least three people were killed and 60 others injured when an earthquake struck China early Thursday, triggering the second-top level alarm in the affected region.

As the vaccine mandate went into effect nationwide, France suspended 3,000 health care workers for failing to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
