Turkish physicians have begun sharing their knowledge and expertise on ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions with colleagues from Turkic countries at a conference in Azerbaijan.
The first congress of the Near Eurasia Africa Society of Otolaryngology started on Friday in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku.
Dr. Celil Gocer – secretary general of the association – told Anadolu Agency that one of the goals of the congress was to help the cooperation between Turkey and Turkic countries increase.
“Close inter-professional relations are required to ensure a permanent partnership,” he said.
He said 18 Turkish ENT specialists from 13 different universities participated in the congress to share their expertise with their colleagues.
“Knowledge and experience are two things that expand when they are shared with other people. This congress is only the beginning of a long-term mission. We will continue to maintain cooperation with Turkic republics and Turkey’s neighbors,” Gocer said.
