Global virus recoveries top 7M: John Hopkins University
Total COVID-19 cases to date near 13M, tally of fatalities reaches more than 566,000

ANKARA
The number of recoveries from the novel coronavirus across the globe has passed the 7 million mark, according to data compiled by the US' John Hopkins University.
To date, there have been more than 12.77 million confirmed cases of the virus, while the death toll is over 566,000, also according to the data.
Since originating in Wuhan, China in late 2019, the virus has spread to 188 countries and regions. Among the worst-hit countries are the US, Brazil, Russia, and India.
