Turkey warns Syria to end clashes in border region

Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Monday that Turkey would take necessary measures in case of recurrence of incidents at Turkey-Syria border.

A ministry statement said two Syrian citizens and two Turkish citizens, who were living in a container shelter site in the southern province of Kilis, were wounded in a fire opened from Syria early on Monday.
"Syrian citizens who have escaped from the violence of the current Syrian regime and who have sheltered in Turkey, are under full guarantee of Turkey. We will implement necessary measures in case of recurrence of such incidents," the ministry said.

Syrian acting ambassador was summoned and made the necessary warnings to end the clashes at the border region earlier Monday.

A Syrian citizen said they were expecting Turkey's assistance to bring their injured friends to Turkey.
Amr Dedegi, a Syrian citizen who has brought his brother that was wounded in Syria to Turkey, said many people were injured in clashes near Aleppo.
"We are expecting Turkey's assistance to bring the injured to Turkey," Dedegi told AA correspondent in the southeastern province of Kilis.
