European Council President Charles Michel announced on Saturday that the EU-Ukraine Summit will be held on Oct. 6.

Michel said on Twitter that he had a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and agreed to hold the summit in Brussels.

Stating that EU Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen will also attend the summit, he recalled that the special European Council meeting will be held on Oct 1-2.

EU leaders will meet in Brussels to discuss foreign affairs, in particular relations with Turkey and the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The summit, initially planned for Sept. 24-25, has been postponed as Michel is in quarantine.
