Students stormed ETH Zurich University at midday on Tuesday to protest Israel's war in the Gaza Strip, according to local media.

According to the daily 20 Minuten, demonstrators chanted "We are all children of Gaza," accusing the EU and Switzerland of financing Israel's war in the besieged enclave.

Demonstrators also staged a sit-in, while chanting "Free free Palestine."

This is the second of such protests at a Swiss university. Demonstrators have occupied the Geopolis building halls at the University of Lausanne for the past five days.

The campus administration had given the demonstrators until Monday at 18:00 to leave the premises, the daily reported.

However, the demonstration in Lausanne continues, according to several posts on various social media platforms.

According to media reports, 800 to 1,000 people participated in the Lausanne protest, while the number of protesters in Zurich was relatively low.

Demonstrators in Lausanne are demanding concrete measures from the university administration in response to the war in Gaza.

They are demanding an immediate cease-fire and the publication of a list of Israeli universities with which the university currently collaborates.

Furthermore, the university should cut all ties with these organizations and discontinue any ongoing research projects with Israeli universities.
