Turkey’s official aid agency set up a state-of-the-art classroom in Montenegro and provided equipment to bolster sugar production in Bolivia, according to statements issued on Wednesday.

The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) established a computer classroom at a high school in Petnitsa in northern Montenegro, the agency said in a statement.

TIKA provided computers, desks, boards, photocopy and printer machines, and other equipment for the classroom.

The project aims to enhance education quality and give students access to technology without having to travel to nearby cities, the statement added.

In Bolivia, TIKA donated equipment to help improve the overall sugar production and quality control process.

The agency provided equipment for measuring, analyzing and testing, with the aim of optimizing sugar production and ensuring higher efficiency, according to a separate statement.

TIKA’s project, executed in collaboration with the Bolivian government, will provide direct employment for 551 families growing sugarcane and indirect opportunities for some 5,000 more people.
