Russia plotted terror attacks on airlines globally, Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk claimed in Warsaw on Wednesday.

"I can confirm that Russia planned acts of air terror, not just against Poland but against airlines globally," Tusk said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following their meeting in Warsaw.

Moscow has been accused of sabotaging European transport infrastructure as part of hybrid warfare by Vladimir Putin against the continent.

In April 2024, Czech Transport Minister Martin Kupka warned that Russia had conducted "thousands of attempts" to attack European railways since the beginning of Moscow's full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022.
