LONDON
Royal Mail workers will hold another 48-hour strike in the UK over pay and conditions at the end of the month, a union announced on Wednesday.
The Communication Workers Union tweeted: "We have today called a further two days (of strike action) on 30 September and 1 October over attacks on terms and conditions."
A strike by around 115,000 postal workers will already be taking place this Thursday and Friday.
These in turn follow a strike last month.
"The Communication Workers Union's approach is setting us on a perilous path," the Royal Mail said in a statement.
The postal service said they were prepared to talk with the union to avoid "damaging" industrial action, adding: "But any talks must be about both change and pay. Change is the route to higher pay."
