Producer prices down 1.7% in Germany in September
Lower energy prices main reason for decline in producer prices last month

ISTANBUL
Germany's producer prices decreased 1.7% in September on a yearly basis, thanks to lower energy prices, federal statistical bureau Destatis announced on Monday.
Energy prices fell 7.3% over the same period, Destatis said, adding that intermediate goods were also down 0.9%.
Durable consumer goods prices were 1.8%, capital goods 1.9%, while non-durable consumer goods increased 3.2% year-on-year in September.
On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 0.1% from August to September; and energy prices dropped 0.3% over the same period.
