Pope Francis' condition remains “critical but stable,” the Vatican said on Tuesday.
“There have been no acute respiratory episodes, and hemodynamic parameters continue to be stable,” a Vatican statement said.
"In the evening, he underwent a scheduled CT scan to radiologically monitor the bilateral pneumonia. The prognosis remains cautious," it added.
The Vatican said: "In the morning, after receiving the Eucharist, he resumed work activities."
On Monday evening, the Vatican announced that Pope Francis' health has slightly improved.
The 88-year-old pontiff has been at Rome's Gemelli Hospital since Feb. 14 and is being treated for double pneumonia.
On Sunday, the Vatican issued a statement, saying Francis had received blood transfusions to bring up his hemoglobin level.
He was elected as Pope Benedict XVI's successor at the age of 76 on March 13, 2013, and took the name Francis.
