NATO completes acquisition of AI-enabled warfare system
It marks significant advancement in modernization of alliance warfighting capabilities, alliance says

ATHENS
NATO on Monday announced that it has completed the acquisition of an AI-enabled warfare system.
“The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) and Palantir Technologies Inc. (Palantir) finalized the acquisition of the Palantir Maven Smart System NATO (MSS NATO) for employment within NATO’s Allied Command Operations (ACO), marking a significant advancement in the modernization of NATO’s warfighting capabilities,” the alliance said in a statement.
The system will empower commanders and warfighters to leverage cutting-edge AI safely and securely in core military operations and enhance intelligence fusion and targeting, battlespace awareness and planning, and accelerated decision-making, it added.
