LONDON

Two masked men robbed a jewelry shop in broad daylight in the Richmond area of southwest London on Saturday.

Video footage circulating on social media shows the robbery occurred before noon, when one of the men smashed the shop’s windows with a hammer.

Although staff inside the shop tried to stop the robbery, they were unable to prevent the suspects from taking jewelry and fleeing as bystanders looked on.

Later Saturday, the shop was seen with its broken windows boarded up, as nearby businesses confirmed to Anadolu that the robbery had taken place earlier in the day.
