MOSCOW

A Moscow court on Thursday sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for killing Boris Nemtsov, a Russian opposition politician, in 2015.

Moscow District Military Court sentenced Zaur Dadayev and other four Chechen people, who were previously found guilty of assassinating Nemtsov.

The other suspects were sentenced to between 11-20 years in prison and each were given a fine of 100,000 rubles ($1,700).

Nemtsov, 55, was fatally shot in Moscow on Feb. 27, 2015. A former deputy prime minister, he was one of the most outspoken critics of President Vladimir Putin and Russia's role in the Ukraine conflict.
