Italy’s Saugella beat Turkey's Aydin Buyuksehir Belediyespor on Wednesday to win the women’s CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup.

After winning 3-0 in the first leg of the final in Turkey's Aydin province, Saugella also defeated the Turkish team 3-1 in Monza, Italy in the second and final match.

Aydin should have won 3-0 or 3-1 against Saugella to take the game to the golden set for gaining the CEV Challenge Cup title.

The golden set would determine the Cup winner that is the final winner of the matches played at home and away.
