French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on Wednesday cancelled a planned trip to Israel, citing busy diary with domestic policy matters.

The premier has domestic policy matters to be tended to in the coming days, in particularly the national railway operator SNCF’s ongoing rolling strike, French daily Le Figaro reported, citing an official at his office.

The two-day official visit was scheduled to begin on May 31.
