The French president will visit Saudi Arabia to discuss cooperation and attend the One Water Summit.

Emmanuel Macron’s three-day state visit starts Monday, according to Elysee Palace sources quoted by Saudi media.

He will meet Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to discuss ways to strengthen French-Saudi relations and upgrade them to a strategic partnership.

Macron and Bin Salman will discuss regional issues and conflicts, particularly Lebanon and the Middle East.

The French president will also attend and deliver remarks at the One Water Summit on Tuesday, on the margins of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) COP16.
