Former Albanian President Bujar Nishani dies at 55
He was receiving treatment at German hospital for lung infection, other health problems for a few weeks

Former Albanian President Bujar Nishani died on Saturday at age 55, the incumbent president announced.
Nishani had been receiving treatment for a lung infection and other health problems at a hospital in Germany for a few weeks.
"President Nishani will always be remembered as a personality with the rare values of a leader with integrity and vision," Albanian President Ilir Meta said on Twitter.
Born in Durres, Albania on Sept. 29, 1966, Nishani graduated from the Skanderbeg Military Academy and earned a law degree from Tirana University.
He was Albania's president from 2012 to 2017 and served as the interior and justice minister before that.
