Protesters were arrested outside the High Court in London during a demonstration in support of the banned activist group, Palestine Action, organizers said Wednesday.

Some 150 protesters attended the protest organized by Defend Our Juries in support of the Palestine Action group, which was banned in July under the UK’s Terrorism Act, a decision that has led to the arrests of hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters for holding signs or showing support for the group.

Palestine Action was banned under the UK’s 2000 Terrorism Act, after members of the group entered Royal Air Force Brize Norton base, damaging two aircraft.

It came as part of a new series of protests in support of the group as a judicial review is taking place Nov. 25 - 27, which may see the ban as a terror organization overturned.

Defend Our Juries wrote on US social media platform X that the arrests are "so slow so far" as of 1500GMT, and that after two hours, "only a handful of around 150 peaceful sign-holders" have been arrested.

Since October 2023, the Israeli army has killed nearly 70,000 victims in the Gaza Strip, primarily women and children, injured more than 170,800, and reduced the enclave to rubble. The onslaught came to a halt under a ceasefire deal that took effect Oct. 10.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.
