Belarusian president to visit Turkey on Tuesday
Alexander Lukashenko to meet Turkish president during official visit to country
ANKARA
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Turkey on Tuesday upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the presidency said Monday.
All aspects of bilateral relations and the opportunities to expand cooperation in various areas will be discussed during the talks on Tuesday at the presidential complex, according to an official statement.
The leaders will also exchange views on recent regional and international developments, the statement added.
The inking of various agreements has been planned to expand bilateral relations.
There will also be a Belarus-Turkey business forum as part of the official visit.
Last year, the trade volume between the two countries reached $984 million.
At the end of 2018, Turkish investments in the Belarusian economy totaled $43.1 million.
