Karmod completes over 100 rainwater harvesting tank projects in H1
Visible impacts of global warming drive firms toward rainwater harvesting systems

ISTANBUL
Turkish prefabricated structure manufacturer Karmod said it completed more than 100 rainwater harvesting tank projects in the first half of 2025, driven by growing demand for sustainable water solutions.
Karmod Plastic Group Sales Manager Selcuk Kaya said companies are increasingly turning to rainwater harvesting systems amid the visible impacts of global warming.
“Our projects have mainly been installed for factories, luxury villas and social facilities,” Kaya said.
“Requests for our rainwater harvesting tanks show that companies are seeking sustainable solutions. They mostly use the harvested water for landscape irrigation and general-purpose needs. A system that has been in use in Europe for many years is now becoming widespread in Türkiye,” he added.
Kaya said the company produces underground rainwater harvesting tanks with integrated pump chambers, with single-body capacities of up to 100 tons.
The tanks are designed for durability under soil and can operate for many years without maintenance, he said.
Once installed underground with proper access covers, the tanks store filtered rainwater collected via connected gutters and piping. The integrated pump system delivers the water for uses such as landscaping, general operations, or fire safety storage.
