Türkiye's total oil imports increased by 8.2% to 4.54 million tons in December 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, according to recent data released by the country's energy watchdog on Friday.
Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, rose by 18% in December 2025 to 2.92 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.
Türkiye imported the majority of its crude oil and oil product needs from Russia, totaling 2.16 million tons. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 852,937 tons and 426,754 tons, respectively.
Total exports in the oil market increased by 7.6%, reaching 1.11 million tons.
Additionally, total domestic oil product sales increased by 11.4 % year-over-year in December 2025 to 3.06 million tons.
