Norway's total sales of petroleum products fell 12.3% to 636 million liters in June compared to the same month last year, according to Statistics Norway on Monday.
For gasoline sales, the statistics office said the volume increased to 2 million liters.
Sales of diesel amounted to 248 million liters - a fall of 8 million liters compared to June last year.
The Norwegian Ministry of Trade, the Norwegian Petroleum Institute and oil companies provide data from which the statistics authority has produced monthly figures since 1973.
