Gazprom produced 70.2 billion cubic meters of gas in the period from Jan. 1 through Feb. 15, an increase of 3.6 percent or 2.4 billion cubic meters against the same period last year, the company announced on Tuesday.
The company's gas sales in the domestic market via the national gas transmission system added 2 percent or 1 billion cubic meters.
Due to warm February weather, Gazprom's gas deliveries to Europe since early 2019 have amounted to 25.9 billion cubic meters, a decrease of 1.5 percent from the record year of 2018. Nevertheless, demand for Russian gas has grown in many countries, with imports rising in Italy by 51.3 percent, Austria by 33.1 percent, and France by 7 percent.
