Turkiye's Nisantasi University, US-based Touro College sign cooperation agreement
Agreement to open doors for many joint academic, scientific projects, says Istanbul-based institute
Istanbul-based Nisantasi University said on Friday it signed a cooperation agreement with the US-based Touro College to strengthen its international connections and provide its students with new experiences at a global level.
In a statement, it said the agreement opens doors to many joint academic and scientific projects, and gives an opportunity to its students to participate in undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs at Touro College.
“We are in the age of information and globalization. Global mobility in the academic and scientific fields will continue to increase in the coming years. We want to raise people of the world who can build the richness of different cultures on top of their national values,” said Levent Uysal, founder of the Nisantasi Education Foundation.
“In line with our goal of being a part of this world that develops with the mutual interaction of countries, we have signed a valuable cooperation with Touro College. We are very happy to be one step closer to our goal."
Nisantasi University students will also have the opportunity to reside in Touro's dorms, and Touro College International Student Office will assist students who will attend the programs with visa and other related issues.
Touro, a non-profit system of higher education and vocational training institutions, was founded in 1970. Providing education to approximately 19,000 students in its various schools and departments, Touro College and University System has 35 campuses in New York, California, Nevada, Illinois, Berlin, Jerusalem and Moscow.
