Wholesale prices in Germany up 1.1% in October
Increase stems from higher prices of food, beverages and tobacco
ISTANBUL
Wholesale prices in Germany increased 1.1% in October, down from 1.2% in September, official figures from Destatis showed on Wednesday.
The increase stemmed from higher prices of food, beverages and tobacco, with prices up 3.5% from October 2024, on average, Destatis said.
"Year-on-year prices also increased significantly in the wholesale of non-ferrous ores, non-ferrous metals and non-ferrous semi-finished metal products (+26.3%)," it added.
By contrast, the wholesale prices of mineral oil products fell 2.1%.
On a monthly basis, wholesale prices rose 0.3%.
