The unemployment rate in Turkey has been announced to be 9.1 percent in October 2012, the same as October 2011.
Turkish statistics authority, TurkStat, released on Tuesday the household labor force figures for October 2012.
Accordingly, the number of unemployed people increased by 87 thousand in the period of October 2012 and reached 2 million and 541 thousand in Turkey.
The non-agricultural unemployment rate has reached 11.2 percent with a 0.1 point increase and the agricultural unemployment rate is 4.9 percent with a 0.4 percent decrease.
Number of employed people increased by 1 million and 23 thousand compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 25 million and 509 thousand in the period of October 2012.
Labour force participation rate (LFPR) was 51 percent with 1 percentage point increase compared to the same period of the previous year for Turkey in October 2012 period.
