ANKARA
The UK's gross domestic product (GDP) rose stronger than the projection in the third quarter of this year, according to data released by Office for National Statistics on Wednesday.
The world's fifth-largest economy grew by 6.8% year-on-year in July-September, revised up from the first estimate of a 6.6% increase.
However, the quarter-on-quarter growth rate was weaker than the forecast.
The UK economy expanded by 1.1% in the third quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter, revised down from the first quarterly estimate of 1.3%.
